Drip Irrigation Fittings
Every drip system is really a network of tubing held together by fittings — and the fitting is usually the point where a system either holds pressure cleanly or starts leaking. Drip fittings connect two pieces of tubing, change direction, or split one line into several, and most are sized to match a specific tubing diameter rather than working universally across sizes.
Barb fittings are the standard connection method in drip irrigation. Instead of gluing or threading, a barbed fitting pushes into the inside diameter of the tubing and grips it with small ridges, creating a seal without tools or adhesive — which makes barb connections easy to adjust or reconfigure later if a bed layout changes. Tees and elbows handle the two most common layout problems: branching a line to reach a new plant or bed, and turning a corner without kinking the tubing. Couplers repair a cut line or extend a run that's come up short, which makes them useful to have on hand even outside of a new install — a nicked line during yard work is one of the more common reasons a drip zone stops watering evenly.
For zones splitting into several separate runs from one source, a drip manifold consolidates multiple outlets into a single connection point, which keeps pressure more consistent across each run than daisy-chaining fittings together. Pairing fittings with the right Drippers/Emitters and a Control & Conversion Kit filter upstream keeps the whole system running at the pressure it was designed for.
