About this product
The Wilkins ZWFR 1/4 in. freeze protection valve prevents freeze damage to backflow preventers installed above ground in regions subject to occasional freezing.
The valve senses water temperature and opens at 35 degrees F to discharge near-freezing water from the backflow device while drawing warmer supply water through the valve, then closes when water temperature reaches 40 degrees F.
